For what it’s worth, I don’t like Bitch Lab, I don’t read her, I don’t think she’s very bright, and I think the main thing she piggybacked on recently was a comment thread to a post she didn’t author. Nice appropriation, that.

So: Don’t like Bitch Lab? Join the club, and don’t read her. Read the women she rips off instead. They’re better.

Happy Birthday to You! And thanks be for your blog. Not long ago, around the time of the bj wars, I was an adrift female, lost and alone, wondering if feminists hadn’t completely lost their mother-effing minds on the topic of sex when your blog provided safe refuge from the storm. So I’m glad you were born on this day, I’m guessing, what, 22, 23 years ago today? ; )

Hello there Ms. Lab. :D Thanks for your well wishes at my blog. Things are stable and decent…I was just letting off some steam. Its good to hear from you regardless of what circumstances. :)

Regarding *this* blog post, it may be a little clueless of me, but “I put this blog online on my birthday” confused me. Did you mean the blog post was put online on your birthday, or the whole blog itself? You’re welcome to physically beat me for not understanding right away. :)

Also, about the (crummy) liberal conclusion that all TV watchers are brain-dead: you’re right, its a bunch of hooey. People don’t always turn their critical thinking off and believe all the media they run into. Ideology plays more of a role, perhaps. Some of us watch Lawrence Welk because its campy, not because we single it out for clean and cheerful entertainment. :)

    Travis –

    Hello there Ms. Lab. :D

*g* you remind me that one of the funniest and most unanticipated consequences of calling this blog Bitch | Lab was the realization that men, especially, had a really hard time calling me ‘Bitch.’ heh.

Anyway, glad you stopped by. I installed the blog on my birthday last year, though we’d all completely forgotten it actually was my birthday! No money, busier’n'hell, and totally preoccupied with one nasty fellah.

I had no idea there were Lawrence Welk re-runs. I’m so relieved. How can I see such a thing? On that channel that plays all the retro teevee shows?

  28. September 21st, 2006| 12:58 pm

Happy Birthday, Dear Bitch l Lab!
    Happy Birthday to you!

Well then all sorts of happy birthdays to you!

You’ve really only been doing this since September of 2005? You’re such a pro, I assumed you’d been at it for years.

But as long as you continue at it for years, we’ll all be the better for it.

Congrats on still kicking ass every week! You’re still the only blog I keep as a one-click at the top of my browser.

    Tons of love.

Happy birthday+anniversary and thanks for ruling out the suicide option!!! =8-O

Quick note: Your links to me point to my WordPress blog, but I have since moved my blog to its own domain (http://platosbeard.org/).

I just realized that your post is dated september 20! (don’t know why it showed up this late in my reader). Very belated wishes then, I guess.
