For what it’s worth, I don’t like Bitch Lab, I don’t read her, I don’t think she’s very bright, and I think the main thing she piggybacked on recently was a comment thread to a post she didn’t author. Nice appropriation, that.

So: Don’t like Bitch Lab? Join the club, and don’t read her. Read the women she rips off instead. They’re better.

Just go ahead and bitch

OOPS…I see that B already beat me too it. Uhhhh..never mind..lol

Great entries all…and I would have contributed one of my gems, but I’ve been sick as a….errrrr….dog (inner ear infection draining down almost to my intestines) and only this week has felt good enough to start posting again.

Well, that and my fractuous work schedule…(morning shift one day; evening shift the next 3 days; then evening followed by morning the next freakin’ day)…..but, gotta pay the bills, you know.

[...] The Carnival of Feminists No 17 is now up on Bitch| Lab, and it is one cornucopia of delights. I was particularly taken with the post about Flappers and feminism, about the exploitation of smuggled workers, and astonished by the news that female athletes are being made to take pregnancy tests before competing. But no doubt you’ll have your own favourites. [...]

  8. June 22nd, 2006| 5:18 am

Wow. It’s huge! This is great.

  9. June 22nd, 2006| 8:51 am

Thanks for including me in the carnival. I’m cruising down the Midway right now, taking in all of the delights of the fabulous writing.

  10. June 22nd, 2006| 9:07 am

I admit to being slightly overwhelmed by the amount of good readin’. Good think I have a desk job. :)

  11. June 22nd, 2006| 9:31 am

I wish I knew how to do trackbacks….

Thanks for your incredible work here BL. Very nicely put together. I threw a traffic directing post up on my other fem-blog, The Breast Views Blog.

  18. June 22nd, 2006| 1:51 pm

AP — like a where is she now sort of thing?

or was I supposed to write a post?

she has a blog? you know … i should go search to see. :)

  19. June 22nd, 2006| 2:29 pm

I just got done reading Skin, where in one of her essays she discusses the Barnard (?) Sex Scandal - how timely!

I noticed she had a site but did not find much of a blog. then again, I seem to remember that she has some vision problems, so a visual medium might not be so useful for her.

  20. June 22nd, 2006| 3:27 pm

You’ve done a great job–exhaustive as usual, and now you’ve raised the bar for the rest of us carnival hostesses. Congrats, B.

  21. June 22nd, 2006| 3:34 pm
