"For what it’s worth, I don’t like Bitch Lab, I don’t read her, I don’t think she’s very bright, and I think the main thing she piggybacked on recently was a comment thread to a post she didn’t author. Nice appropriation, that. ... Don’t like Bitch Lab? Join the club, and don’t read her. Read the women she rips off instead. They’re better." - Ilyka Damen

OOPS…I see that B already beat me too it. Uhhhh..never mind..lol
Great entries all…and I would have contributed one of my gems, but I’ve been sick as a….errrrr….dog (inner ear infection draining down almost to my intestines) and only this week has felt good enough to start posting again.
Well, that and my fractuous work schedule…(morning shift one day; evening shift the next 3 days; then evening followed by morning the next freakin’ day)…..but, gotta pay the bills, you know.

Thanks, BL! what a great line-up–can’t wait to read some of these that are new to me…
The 17th Carnival of Feminists…
……
[...] Head on over to Bitch | Lab’s for the 17th Carnival of the Feminists. [...]
Great job! Thanks so much for including my Ann Coulter verse.
[...] The Carnival of Feminists No 17 is now up on Bitch| Lab, and it is one cornucopia of delights. I was particularly taken with the post about Flappers and feminism, about the exploitation of smuggled workers, and astonished by the news that female athletes are being made to take pregnancy tests before competing. But no doubt you’ll have your own favourites. [...]
Wow. It’s huge! This is great.
Thanks for including me in the carnival. I’m cruising down the Midway right now, taking in all of the delights of the fabulous writing.
I admit to being slightly overwhelmed by the amount of good readin’. Good think I have a desk job. :)
I wish I knew how to do trackbacks….
Thanks for your incredible work here BL. Very nicely put together. I threw a traffic directing post up on my other fem-blog, The Breast Views Blog.

Awesome. Very extensive. Also, thanks for the tip.
I’ve never particularly liked carnivals, but this one rocks.
Hey, congrats on getting the carnival together! I’ll have to go place a link to it on my blog.
Wow-ee! This is awesome, Bitch - the feminist blogland thanks you for your hard work. And I personally thank you for including me, even though I forgot to submit - merci beaucoup!
Thanks.
OT, sorta: Hey - whatever happened to Dorothy Allison?
AP — like a where is she now sort of thing?
or was I supposed to write a post?
she has a blog? you know … i should go search to see. :)
I just got done reading Skin, where in one of her essays she discusses the Barnard (?) Sex Scandal - how timely!
I noticed she had a site but did not find much of a blog. then again, I seem to remember that she has some vision problems, so a visual medium might not be so useful for her.
You’ve done a great job–exhaustive as usual, and now you’ve raised the bar for the rest of us carnival hostesses. Congrats, B.
eh? raised the bar? i thought i did what is normally done?
but thanks. i mean, i feel bad if i’ve caused ppl work that they didn’t need to do.
ok look. i was late getting it out, so a loser, lowering the bar.
even steven!
Ncie selection.
Thanks for the inclusion, and the plug for the FSF Carnival. :)

New Yawkers Are Polite … So There!…
I’m a proud New Yorker, so I was pleased (and unsurprised) to read that a Reader’s Digest poll ranks New York “the most courteous major city in the world.”

Thanks so much for this — I haven’t followed all the carnivals, but this is definitely my favorite so far.
Cheers for including my post. This is a brilliant carnival, lots of great reading to get stuck into.
Oh - just wanted to mention that I loved the Mad Melancholic Feminista post. I stuck that bitch in my del.icio.us links the day she posted it (well, or shortly therafter).
Hey to everyone — thanks for all the hard work, the linking, and thumbs up. Much appreciated!
And IIRC, that’s how I found MMF Amber, when you posted about it? You did, right? She’s in my feed reader and I think blogrolled. I have to get at the roll, so if anyone wants in, let me know at info AT pulpculture DOT org
